Dear Teachers and School Administrators,

Welcome to the new 2007/08 year of Harbourfront Centre School Visits programming! We invite you to visit our beautiful ten-acre site in the heart of downtown Toronto or book an In-School programme and have our artists come to you to experience a one of a kind adventure in learning!

In response to the diversity of the students in our demographic, this year we are launching many new programmes to engage your students in dynamic and innovative ways. Highlights include ESL arts programming, Urban Dance and cultural explorations in the Visual Arts.

We continue to be leaders in unique multi-disciplinary programming in performing arts and gallery studies. We are the only arts institution offering inspiring trips for your students where they can experience work by living contemporary artists, followed by unique workshops which allow for the students to creatively respond to the exhibition or matinee on site.

We have expanded on our successes in the areas of Urban Studies, launching new and improved programming focusing on the development of English language skills, the waterfront community and the art and architecture of the downtown core.

In addition to our new programming, we have committed to reducing our School Visits "footprint" by switching to more green friendly art supplies. We are achieving this goal by using recycled art materials and purchasing products that are less harmful and toxic to our city and our planet.
